Homeownership can make you feel anxious. According to a new survey, 84 percent of homeowners said they have home-related anxiety at least some of the time. But while reports of homeowners losing sleep or feeling tense about their home may seem like an argument against the long-term maintenance and financial commitment of owning a home, that’s not the whole story. In fact, it doesn’t even tell the whole story of the survey’s results. That’s because, among those surveyed homeowners, a staggering 97 percent said owning a home is still worth it. In other words, despite the anxiety, nearly 100 percent of them say it’s worthwhile. Additionally, 49 percent say their home is their most valuable financial asset and the key to their long-term security. Those are pretty good numbers on the side of owning a home and the benefits it brings – even if there are times it may cause you stress. (source)
